Fall Transitional Dressing

Here in Southern California we still have a couple of warn months left
but every once in a while
you can feel the sweet breath of fall in a slight morning breeze.
Just enough of a recognition that the season will once agin be changing
which means it's time to start planning my fall wardrobe!

So when I saw this jumpsuit last week in Anthropologie
I just knew it could make a great Fall Transitional piece!
I knew now while it's still warm
I could lighten the color palette by
accessorizing with creams
Then later in the season I see all kinds of possibilities
accessorizing with layers of browns or blacks!

My favorite cream  wool felt hat by Australia's Lack of Color
tipped back gives a perfect face framing look
and
makes for an easy late summer hair style with a very loose hair tuck into the hat.

Paired with my oversized Tom Ford sunglasses
it is  a finished late summer face.

I have had this fabulous necklace from Juxtaposition Home in Newport Beach
for months now.
I fell in love with at first sight
and
knew eventually I would find a perfect outfit to wear it with.
I am a true believer, (just like the gorgeous Lisa of The Sequinist)
that if you buy pieces you absolutely love
they will work into perfect ensemble kismet for you!
Combining pieces you absolutely love
is the easiest way to obtain a unique personal style
that makes you happy to get dressed every day!

If you follow my blog
it's pretty obvious I have big love for baskets
especially the ones I can use for purses
like this beauty from Serena and Lily!

I had been in love with these Rachel Comey shoes
since I first saw them online.
But at $450 I couldn't quite justify the price.
But  when our large  Anthropologie in Newport Beach had them marked down, and down and down
with a 30% off of that
with only one pair left  ... and it was my size ...
well let's just say it was a beautiful shopping memory!

So what new pieces are you adding to transition your wardrobe this season?
I would love to hear!

As always my friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

  1. It's difficult imagining autumnal temperatures and colours in SoCal, at least those that I think of as autumnal! But whatever it brings in your neck of the woods, that jumpsuit will look great! Loved the soft styling of your hair under the hat, BTW, really suits you. X.
