This holiday season I decided to add just one major wardrobe piece
to my holiday wear.
I added this embroidered tulle skirt from Anthropolgie.
I knew this was a piece I could style many different ways
depending on the need and my mood.

I knew this was a piece I could style many different ways
depending on the need and my mood.
For Christmas I paired it with a long wrap vest from
one of my very favorite boutiques
Chateau Bel Age in Mission Beach California.
The long black vest
framed and highlighted the wonderful whimsy of the embroidered detail in the skirt
as well as help highlight my disappearing waist.
To give a longer line to the ensemble
I once again used my vintage lace blouse
(the same one I wore HERE as Mother of the Bride).
Under the blouse I added a black stretch lace camisole
which together gave the illusion off a maxi dress.
This outfit has already served me well over the holidays.
I have opted between my winter crown for indoor occasions ...
adding a hat, feather collar and coat for going outside.
I am realizing the ease of dressing
when working with a few especially loved pieces!
Now to style some go to outfits for the
New Year!
As always my friends
I wish you love and joy
as you style your life
Stunning as usual, loved the garden and table settings in the other posts too. Your home is enormous by Australian standards!!!! Xxx
ReplyDeleteTamera - You look just fabulous. I absolutely love the way you swing in that tulle skirt; the whole ensemble is divine.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could wear one or just one the many gorgeous ones offered at Anthropologie. I'm 5'2", 120 pounds with an hour glass shape, consequently anything that flares makes me look "dumpy". Form fitting dresses, but with eye-catching accessories seems to work for me. So....consider yourself very lucky to be tall and gorgeous !
I saw this lovely skirt the last time I was in Anthro. You chose a great piece and as usual styled it beautifully.

What a marvellous find Tamera! It's absolutely beautiful and you've showcased it to display how very diverse it can be too. I'd love to track it down, but I know how Anthropologie prices can sometimes take your breath away. My birthday is coming up soon - I might drop a hint or two to my family.
ReplyDeleteWishing you very happy and healthy 2017!

I love how you have framed the gorgeous tulle skirt with your long black vest. You are a walking piece of art. Your crown and your black brimmed hat top off your holiday looks with perfection. Thank you so much for sharing with Hat Attack!
