Hello Monday ... Hello Gratitude

I can't believe it's May already!

the weeks seem to be slipping by me so fast

I thought I would reinstate one of my favorite posts to do

Hello Monday ... Hello Gratitude

Just a quick week recap

of the moments I am

Grateful For!

I spend too much time worrying about so many things

taking the time to focus on

Gratitude

really calms my mind.

I make my

Gratitude List

every morning.

It really helps set a tone for my day.

We got down to Huntington Beach for lunch
and
a beach walk.

Almost anytime on the beach
makes my heart so happy.

Here where I live in Southern California
we have so many beaches
each with their own personality and attributes.

Any time I get pictures of our sweet granddaughter
it makes my heart swell with happiness.

Our weather is always a bit drippy here in SoCal

because of our marine layer.

We have May Gray

and

June Gloom.

I used to hate the weather

now I embrace it

and

have wardrobe pieces just for it!

Like this fun trench i recently added!

I have made it back in to getting my facials
and
I am ever so
Grateful!

I am still loving my
'Closet Room
I shared about a couple of posts back.

It's also a calm space for
Gratitudes and Planning
every morning.

We had another beautiful beach walk

in Dana Point.

Jeff and I got our first vaccine last week
at the beautiful
Newport Beach Civic Center.

I was very grateful to have the first shot done.

Afterwards we took a walk down to the beach
in corona Del Mar.

I was shocked that I had a reaction
to the first vaccine.
I had heard plenty about the second shot
I was not myself for almost three days.

I am very Grateful
to have that one behind me.

I am so Grateful
to live by open spaces
and to be able to
hike in such daily beauty.

The cacti groves are about to burst into bloom!

I have been working hard on loosing weight this year.
I have lost 30 pounds so far
and
it makes getting dressed so much more fun!

I am very
 Grateful
to be working on  a strong and beautiful body.
I have come to really appreciate the process.

That is one of the beautiful gifts of
Gratitude.

Learning to savor and enjoy
the process.

As always my friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

  2. Dearest Tamera, Thank you for another inspiring post - gratitude and attitude are everything. You look fabulous, as always but could you share how you lost the weight? Anything specific? Lastly, beautiful granddaughter - was so happy that you and your husband were able to visit them via a Marfa visit. Cheers, Lark

    1. So lovely to see your comment here darling! I hope you and yours are well!

I have found intermittent fasting to be an effective weight loss structure for me. I eat only in a six hour window and consume between 1200-1500 calories a day. I also hike daily as well as train with weights. It's an intense process, but the results have been slow and steady.

Thank you so much for your visit here and your thoughtful question. XOX

  3. I thought your legs were looking thin!
    GOOD FOR YOU!
Giving up the WINE for a month certainly helped with that......I know from experience!IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS FOR ME NO WINE!
I have been told to cut out ALL SUGARS and wine has a FEW!IN FACT SUGAR is everywhere if you start reading labels......even VINEGAR!NON DIARY YOGURT has 16 grams or whatever they measure with there.....it is a bit discouraging for me!
I have been told to give up ALL the GLUTEN FREE FOODS AS WELL.......Guess they put OTHER BAD STUFF IN THOSE!Bottom line WE are to eat PLANTS and PASTURE RAISED MEATS ONLY!
AS you know I have been on a QUEST FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS TO FIND OUT WHAT MAKES ME LOSE MY VISION AND FEEL FAINT.........WELL, THEY ALL THINK ITS THE FOOD!I DONT THINK SO AS I HAVE BEEN DOWN THIS PATH BEFORE..........LIKE THREE TIMES EACH A BIT DIFFERENT!
I THINK IT HAS MORE TO DO WITH THE OSTEOPORSIS AND THE FACT MY SPINE IS S SHAPED AND PERHAPS SITTING ON A NERVE!
SORRY OFF ON A TANGENT I WENT.......
LUCKY YOU PLACES TO WALK THAT APPEAL......MY AREA A BIT MORE BORING!
A FACIAL IS A GOOD SELF CARE TO INDULGE IN!
I JUST HAD SECOND SHOT......PFIZER.SOME PAIN IN ARM AND VERY VERY TIRED FOR THREE DAYS.
    WORTH IT!
WE NEED TO KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!!!!!!

    1. Wow! Great job with no wine for two years! It does seem to be quite an adventure trying to discover what to eat these days for healthy longevity! You sure have been on quite a journey to decipher what's best for your health my friend! I had no idea about gluten ... though it doesn't surprise me!

Congratulations on receiving your second shot! That must feel so liberating!! Sending you big, big hugs my friend! Thank you ever so much for stopping by! XOX

I think I need to replicate that outfit with the blue and white striped sweater with the straw back-pack, fabulous bucket hat and Vans!! I've got the pants, so that's a start! :-D And the desert blooms! The beauty in nature never ceases to amaze me! Kudos on the weight loss! I've got more than a bit to lose after this past year as well. I've got to get back to my daily walks!! Cheers dear one! Keep spreading beauty!! :-D

  5. What a lovely post Tamera. You look wonderful, and congratulations on the weight loss, 30 lbs is a lot to lose. Your gratitude posts are always so welcome and encouraging to us all. Well done having your first shot - a lot of people here seem to have about three days feeling unwell too. I am planning to arrange mine with no commitments over the next week or so, as I usually have a reaction to the flu and other vaccines. Your cactus is so pretty with pink and yellow on the same plant. I think I want a red print coat like yours :) xxx
