We broke tradition this year
and
had Thanksgiving in San Diego
hosted by my gorgeous girl and her husband.
Our family has gone through changes
and
it just felt right for change.
Ellis sent me some inspiration pictures
and
I packed my styling bags.
Our Thanksgiving table
ended up to be my very favorite
Tablescape ever!
The table styling was definitely a communal effort.
Ellis provided the fabulous venue and styling direction.
Megan, our newest, wonderful addition to the family this year
in her marriage to Hunter
was a total sweetheart
and
let us borrow her brand new wedding pretties
from Anthropologie!
(The pictures from their stunning wedding are back
and
I will be sharing!!)
I brought down up my favorite hammered charges to complete the place settings.
I wove the gorgeous pieces together with pampas grass down the center of
the farm table.
Pears and pomegranates mixed in with cut roses of the palest shades
to accent the dishes and the glassware.
For the centerpiece I picked up a few new gold pieces from
Target's Hearth and Hand
and
Opal House lines.
The flowers in the center were one of my favorite parts!
Since I was traveling by car with the flowers
I bought a large orchid plant from Trader Joe's
and simply cut the flowers
and arranged them in the center of the candelabra.
For even more impact I added cut roses in similar shades.
For our beautiful dinner I wore my dress from Beholden
several years ago
layered over a fitted denim shirt
with suede block heeled shoes.
A few more day time shots to see how all of the pieces pulled together
for
a super fresh and luxurious take on a
Family Thanksgiving!
Oh the food!!
My daughter Ellis truly out did herself
with all of her delicious, gourmet dishes!!
I t was definitely a magical, memorable, precious evening!
As always my friends
I wish you love and joy
as you style your life
Your table is utterly gorgeous Tamera. How clever your are! The pale roses beside the golden pears are so unexpected and beautiful. Loving the pink glassware and gold chargers too. Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all. xx
