.... hello Monday .... hello gratitude ....

Hello Monday.... and the promise of a good week...
Hello to gratitude for a good nights sleep!

Being in the throes of homonal changes....
sleep has become and elusive visitor
but last night I gave in and took some tylenol PM...
and awoke refreshed with optimism for a new week..
Realizing once again, just how very important good sleep is to ones outlook.

Hello to a productive garden...
It's time to plant even more tomatoes...
Hello to gratitude to have time to spend nurturing my summer garden.

Hello to a whole lot of gratitude for health insurance... and the power of antibiotics!
while dead heading my garden Wednesday afternoon,
I was stung by a bee...
which doesn't sound too serious....
except by Friday morning my hand has swelled to the point of immobility.
It takes a lot for me to go to the Dr.'s.... not being able to use my hand certainly qualified.
A few days rest... and some powerful antibiotics knocked out the infection.
Color me Very Grateful for my health!

Hello gratitude to a lovely jewelry party....
with wonderful friends... and my lovely daughter....

So grateful for a creative ladies summer evening.

Hello Monday and being able to resume my hikes and mountain bike rides...
so grateful for not only the physical benefits of these...
but the mental as well.
Hello gratitude for being able spend Friday night date night...
on the water in Dana Point.
So grateful for where we live...
and one on one time with my husband.

These Monday gratitude posts have become one of my favorites.
I believe there is true power in gratitude...

Intentional Gratitude can act as a  filter you can apply to your own life...

Intentional Gratitude  can help quiet the critical voice within...
the voice who insists...
nothing is ever quite right...
and
whose focus is always on what still needs to be done better.

Intentional gratitude can put the spotlight on the good...
and the plenty...
Intentional Gratitude can shift your own life perspective...
I know it does mine.
This week I have found focusing on what I did well at night as I try to fall asleep...
not only makes me feel better about my day...
but helps quiet my mind from it's night racing.
so...

Hello Monday...
hello to the practice of
Intentional Gratitude.

as always dear friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

thank you so for stopping by

  1. Excellent post theme! It's so important to practice intentional gratitude, as it really does affect your outlook on the world, and your own life. I learned this much later than I should have, but better late than never. I've learned in the past year to be grateful when I get a good night's sleep because it doesn't happen often (damn hormones, or lack of!)

  2. The attitude of gratitude is a powerful tool....
Oh those hormonal roller coasters are wicked.... I do not miss them one iota.
Mr HB and I caught up with some friends on Friday and we ladies got to talking and my friend confessed to going on bio-identical hormone therapy so she cold sleep at night an not bite the heads off her co-workers!

  7. Tamera deer, I've missed your lovely blog while I was away. You are so right, there is nothing like a good night's sleep to help us feel restored and recharged. I love your Monday gratitude posts as well. We are indeed fortunate to be living life to the fullest.
    Beautiful post!

  8. You said it, Tamera. I'm glad your hand is okay! And you are right about sleep.
But most of all, the gratitude aspect is right on. Beautiful photos.

  9. Yes, we have so much to be grateful for. Lovely post. Thank you for your comment on Dross, too. Joey's dad is better due to an arterial stent and his mom is surrounded by people who love her as she prepares to transition. She's in hospice now which is better than the hospital. We're grateful for her momentary smiles and eternally grateful for her love.
