.... hello Monday... hello gratitude ....

And on this note...
hello Monday.

I was recently inspired by Adrienne, of the Rich Life on a Budget... and her post on her gratitude for the week.
I have found it very refreshing during these hormonal times...
to focus on what I am truly grateful for...
to help break the spinning cycle of self absorption.
So here is my list of hell Monday gratitude.

Hello Monday...
I am so very grateful to greet each summer morning with coffee in my garden...
a perfect place to reflect on life's goodness and plan for a new day.

I am very grateful that my daughter is home for the summer...
and realizing that although our family is different than when they were all young and at home...
we are a functioning family all the same...
I am learning to embrace and enjoy our new family times.

I realized how very much we still are family...
this week when both of my boys showed up at the hospital with me...
(without even me asking)
to visit my dad who had been admitted to our surprise for pneumonia.

As so many times in life...
there can be true beauty and love...
in the hardest of circumstances.

After years of teenage angst... and not seeing eye to eye...
I have never been prouder of how both my sons showed up 100%...
they were there because they knew without being encouraged...
it was the right thing to do....
they were there when it counted...

and stepped up and took charge...
during a very frightening time.

Which helped me be there...
when it counted..

It was one of those situations...
where there was a shift in parenting....
I felt as though they were parenting and supporting me...
so I could in turn...
help mine.

And as far as we can tell now....
my dad is on the mend...
for which I have great gratitude.

On a lighter note...
I am very grateful to have lovely orders to ship this week :)

And a sweet blogging story to share...
These stunning necklaces are done by one of my readers.

I received a question about my recent addition to my brooch necklace from
Sue Gibbs who lives in Australia...

You see Sue found my blog through une femme d'un certain age...
and in December Sue began making all of these these spectacular brooch necklaces...
She said she had been inspired by my post.

Well  I can't tell you how happy that made my heart!
I find no greater compliment in life....
than  to inspire...
and to inspire this level of creativity....
well it was a great big gift to my soul.

Sue is a dentist by trade...
and has made necklaces for gifts and charity auctions...

Thank you Sue for contacting me...
and sharing these stunning creations...
my heart is very grateful to know...
that ideas that are put out through blogging can have spectacular results.
These necklaces you created are awe inspiring!

as always dear friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life with gratitude
