....{ we're leaving }....+ {we're here}....

Well the time has come...to leave for Europe....
I  know... it would be expected that I would be excited....

but my truth is...
I am filled with ambivalence....

I am the consummate nester...
so traveling so far from home...without the entire family....
is a struggle...

fast forward...to today....

 we have arrived in London...

 with a hotel room
with a fantastic view...
at the Cumberland in Hyde Park...

because as spectacular as touring the area is...
coming in  from the street to the Cumberland's calming zen like interior ...

is the perfect juxtaposition to the activity on the street....

and a walk out to Bond Street....
so much much more to explore...

and to make it all the more unbelievable...
my darling daughter Ellis and her wonderful boyfriend Elliott...
will travel from Italy to join us here in London tomorrow!

as always dear friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

love today from London

  5. My dear Tamara.....whenever I hear of people feeling "ambivalent" or "depressed", I remember the books I've read about the every day life of people in Africa.....
