New Years....

I take New Year's seriously, not in a what am I going to wear or do on the eve of....
but rather
What am I going to do in the coming year
and to get there I have to reflect on where I have been this year....

I have come far in recognizing my changing role in my family
as my children are growing into young adults...
realizing it is my time to decide
what's next...

This next year
I want to become a better version of myself...
mind, body and soul.
to be fitter and healthier
(I am proud of the strides I have made this year)
in all three ways.

I want to share my gifts better..
and
I want to make products of meaning and value

to grow to be the larger person
to be able to find common ground
with those I strongly disagree with....
for the sake of the
common goal...

to learn to love better
with a heart wide open...
letting go of some of the self protection
loving all the way...
unafraid.

because
honestly
I am 52...
I know
I have a finite time left on this planet...
and
when I meet God at the end...
I don't want to feel I disappointed...

by being ungrateful...
of not using my talents for good...
for not loving enough...

I know many who fear getting older
especially in our culture...
but trust me
 age bears many gifts...
one is the clarity...
that come with knowing...

that the
 someday I'll......(fill in the blank)
better begin now...
there is no forever here..

so this year I want to live with intention
and purpose...
to let go of petty angers
to share my God given talents
to focus on love
and remember to give.

I know these are lofty goals...
that's why today
I'm starting off my New Year
 meeting with my new psychologist
a Dr. whose specialty is in the
integration of mind, body and soul.

So to all of you who are so dear as to read this blog

I wish you so much love and grace in the coming year.

much love,
Tamera

Love this, Tamera. So, so good!!

I need to go to a therapist that was recommended. I'm dragging my feet... afraid. But I know I need to. Please keep me accountable!
