We did a quick road trip to
We went for a night stay at one of our favorite historic motels
"Built in 1947
the 20 acre resort was a favorite getaway for the Hollywood stars.
Past guests included clark Gable, Bing Crosby, James Arness and Marilyn Monroe.
the property included a landing strip
an oversized Olympic pool
and lounge."
just opened a one of a kind cocktail lounge
beneath the hotel's iconic pool.
Entering downstairs, through the hand carved mermaid door by Glenn Weischedel
makes you feel like your'e making entry into a secluded world
is a hidden waterfront in the middle of the desert.
Jeff and I have stayed in
many times over the years.
The Palms at Indian Palms is by far our favorite.
To be transparent it's definitely not a fancy, perfectly manicured and maintained property
that I am usually drawn to love.
But what it lacks in finishing and maintenance
it far makes up with
it's vast, unbroken skyline
historic charm and secluded feel
Another attribute it has going is what I consider
a value in pricing.
Writing this post has me yearning to go back to
and
As always my friends
I wish you love and joy
as you style your life
