Celebrating 37 Years

 

Jeff and I celebrated our 

37th Anniversary 

last week!

Boy, those numbers are getting big!

And I'm grateful for every single one!

We have lived a lot of life in our 37 years married

38 years together!

We were engaged within three months

and 

got married on the year anniversary of the day we met.

I still remember the night we met.

That afternoon I had  literally decided the boyfriend situation 

for me was pretty dire

and

that I really should just resign myself to being friends with men.

So when Jeff asked me out that night we met

I decided what the heck

I might as start making friends.

Three days later 

on our picnic

I remember thinking

There was my life 

before Jeffrey Scott Beardsley

and 

my life after 

Jeffrey Scott Beardsley came into it.

38 years later here we are.

Sometimes when you know

you know.

This year for our anniversary 

Jeff wanted to go back to where we had our first date.

It was In Laguna Beach 

at Pepper Tree Lane

at a restaurant that actually had a tree growing through the roof!

We still remember crossing this street

and it was the first place we ever held hands

on our way to drinks at 

The Hotel Laguna

Hotel Laguna

is still our  favorite to this day.

We had lunch at our spot with the coloring tree

where my 

One True Love

added our initials. 

Laguna Beach is a lot like Jeff to me

I love it more

with every passing year.
