I recently received a fabulous caftan from
"ECO FRIENDLY CAFTANS INSPIRED BY THE OCEAN, MADE ON MAIN STREET. ETHICALLY SOURCED AND LOCALLY MADE IN LOS ANGELEs
So I thought it would be fun to take the gorgeous caftan
out to the desert
and
stretch my styling talents to get
three different looks with
the caftan.
Caftans can be wonderful pieces to add to your wardrobe.
You can style them up or down
so their versatility
makes them excellent traveling players.
Think loungewear to evening wear.
Pool coverup to casual sightseeing.
For the first look I paired the caftan with some
comfy wide legged pants
turban
flats
and
bold sunglasses
keeping the lines of the outfit
simple and clean.
This ensemble worked perfectly for our
road trip
travel day to the desert.
Next I used the caftan as a solid base
for a much more casual look.
It was the perfect base
to showcase
my vintage poncho
I got in Austin, Texas.
To complete the South Western look
I added
cowboy boots
vintage tooled purse
and
my now favorite hat
from
Allen Boots in Austin.
I really love wardrobe pieces
that can morph into
different looks
with my prized accessories.
Next I glammed up the caftan
for a night out.
For this look I added my
encrusted brooch necklace
cuffs
heeled slides
sparkly turban
and
oversized sunnies.
Adding in
a faux fur stole
and
vintage metallic clutch
brought the glam all the way home.
The fabulous caftan by
also played wonderfully with my newest
New Year's Eve Crown!
Well there you have it my friends!
You can see how
can be such wonderful wardrobe players!
As always my friends
I wish you love and joy
as you style your life
Lovely and so creative! Thank you for continuing to share!
ReplyDeleteLoreen, thank you darling, for continuing to visit and comment darling! I so appreciate your visits my dear! xox
DeleteWhat an amazing photos! Very elegant.
ReplyDeleteHi, Tamara
ReplyDeleteI love how you styled your black caftan. I have one I've only worn to the beach once. It is a beach caftan from Free People but it is too heavy for hot days. I live in Detroit where it is cool half the year so I haven't used my caftan collection much. I even wrote a blog post about how to wear caftans but I don't feel like it fits my environment. I would collect more if I could get more use out of them. You have really inspired me.
Thanks so much!

you are the styling queen....playing with your wardrobe is so much creativity and fun.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy a wonderful holiday time and my best wishes for health and happiness in 2019.
I never wear caftans because I think they make me look older and fatter (or that I'm trying to hide fat) than I really am. Don't get me wrong; you look great in this black one, probably my favorite I've ever seen you in.
ReplyDeleteFor me personally though, I feel caftans are aging unless you're really young to begin with. Who needs that?
All these looks are adorable! It's fun to see all these different styles with one piece of clothing!
