I have been spending time recently
savoring our late SoCal summer
in our backyard.
Slowing down to literally stop and smell the roses and savor nature's beauty.
My gardens are in full bloom
and
this summer's garden work
is now showing beautifully!
I have been feeling pulled in so many different directions recently
only because there are so many things I want to be doing ...
and
accomplishing.
So I am feeling a need to really slow down
and
truly get my life in order.
Make some choices of how I really want to be filling my time.
I am happiest when my house and gardens are in order
and
I make gratitude for my life an intention.
How wonderful are these doves outside my kitchen window!
A perfect reminder to slow down and take in all the little beauties to be found in a day!
As always my friends
I wish you love and joy
as you style your life
Beautiful, love the doves!-Carol Cross

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place to find serenity, Tamera. Your garden is so lush, and the white flowers perfection. Love the twin day beds....love everything! xx
ReplyDeleteI'd hang out and savor this, too! You have the best eye for perfect little details. Your zone is so welcoming, and you keep finding ways to make it even cooler!
ReplyDeleteYour backyard is the place of dreams. But I need to know, where did you buy those shoes?

My shoes were an online purchase from Zara USA this summer. Thanks for asking dear!
DeleteWhat perfect reminders! Slow down. Enjoy the garden. Live in gratitude.
ReplyDeleteI need to hold these thoughts. My personal and professional lives are both veering in and out of loveliness and deep challenges. As soon as one challenge arises and is solved, the next appears. I am striving hard to stay calm and be grateful for all the love and support I have through the hard times. I am looking at how I can simplify life to respond better to what is being asked of me.
The garden and gratitude--two guiding principles. Thank you.
Your garden looks so lush I think we are blessed with this tropical weather...looks like the perfect place for quiet reflection. I've been having similar thoughts.
