The Viceroy and Trina Turk … Palm Springs First Stops

I have a few favorite places in
Palm Springs
and
for a poolside lunch and cocktails
and
Trina Turk
for some Palm Springs swag
are certainly on the top of my list!

The Viceroy Hotel
is designed by one of my all time favorite designers
Kelly Wearstler.
It is a small luxury boutique resort
nestled right up agains the mountains
in downtown Palm Springs.

We ate and drank
right by the pool
in the shade under misters
in a cabana.
A true Palm Springs lunching  joy!

The  Viceroy property also has bungalows
and
another small pool.
This view right here
is about as iconic Palm Springs poolside
as there is any where to me.

I love old school Palm Springs
Anything reminiscent of
the Rat Pack
and
 the glamour of yesteryear!
The  Viceroy's Hollywood Regency style
captures the deserts original glamour
in the best possible way!

Which is why I love what Kelly did with the
Viceroy.
It Palm Springs glamour  that has
a modern twist
while still respecting the
hotels origins of the 1930's.

I  was very happy with my travel
and
 lunching
wardrobe choice of
my 'white suit'
with my fuchsia DKNY sequin top
over my Haute Hippy T shirt.
It was pulled together
for lunching at the hotel
and
still pared down to
just an off the shoulder T shirt and shorts
for more casual locations later in the day.

Visiting Triana Turk's
iconic Palm Springs store
was on the top of my
must do after lunch list!

The store is flooded with natural light
and
had my heart racing with so much beauty to check out!
I knew I really wanted to leave Palm Springs
with at least something
trom Trina Turk!

And boy did I!
These almost neon paisley paints
called my name loud and clear!
They are a soft jersey with pockets even!
And even better …
they are long enough for me to wear with heels!
Quite a find in my book!

The pants are such a perfect complement to my
vintage brooch necklace!
They made me fall in love  again with
the necklace like never before!

FYI … I have a DIY
for the necklace here.

Trina … is also pretty sweet!

I just can't tell you how
excited I get when an outfit comes
perfectly together!

Styling is truly
something that makes my heart sing!

As always my friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

  2. Tamera, I think you've captured iconic Palm Springs with your lens. My senses are on high at the moment, feeling the heat, hearing the clink of cocktail glasses, and kinda swooning over the Viceroy decor. Palm Springs is a winter holiday destination for a lot of my friends, and I better appreciate the appeal.

Now! Your Trina Turk palazzo pants are beyond fabulous! You look stunning! And how cool that they coordinate perfectly with your tee's and necklace! They couldn't not leave the store with you. I'm bravely stepping up to make a pair of patterned palazzo pants and I'm grateful that you mentioned that these are made of jersey. I hadn't considered that fabrication, but it really does make perfect sense to me. Now the big question will be, how bold can I go? :)

  4. We stayed at The Willows, the place where Einstein stayed in wintertime a few times, amazing place with incredible service, as much as I love the vibe of Palm Springs and the history, I don't do well in any places encircled by mountains or really tall hills - bizarrely it reminded me of Scotland!
On a very very hot day.

  12. First off, I don't know if I would ever leave that little dressing room, let alone the store. How inviting is that? I can totally relate to the excitement when the perfect outfit comes together, and seriously those pants, well, I think Trina Turk herself knew you were heading in and had them made just for you. Looks like you're having a wonderful, wonderful, getaway.
