.... spring neutrals ....


With spring break behind us...
and some beautiful Southern California weather ahead of us...
I spent the entire weekend
editing and changing out my closets
for the spring/ summer season here.

I must admit...
I put it off as long as I possibly could...
Having to put away some of my 
best clothes friends...
was hard.

Especially my favorite accessory from the winter...
my fur collar Ellis found for me at a vintage market in Italy.
it was my favorite go to piece...
as I could put it with anything and quickly fashion a great look!

So now I am revisiting my favorite looks and accessories....
to find my new spring/summer clothes friends...
those go to pieces to grab on the go!

So now I have edited out stray pieces this weekend...
I even polished all of my silver jewelry...
I edited shoes and bags...
tidied shelves and closets...
in the best version of spring cleaning.

I even  made what ended up to be a rather short list...
consisting mainly of shoes...
to finish off my spring/ summer wardrobe....
well, at least phase one :)

I am heading out this week list firmly in hand...
for the shoes... I need.
Promising myself not to be seduced by the siren song
of heels that look good on my shelf...
and in a photo...
instead to invest in the shoes that will fill in my wardrobe gaps...
and add a bright new polish to my beloved pieces!

    Very casual chic and looking forward to spring after a long cold winter. Not quite ready to dig out summere whites and linens!
    Could you write a piece about the different ways you put your hair up? I keep looking and trying, but some tips to have hair up casual in a chic and stylish way would be very much appreciated. AJ

    I remember these glorious outfits!! I'm totally inspired to go back to the drawing board for my summer wardrobe. Your weekend sounds perfect and after this week I'm going to try to reserve a few days to do exactly the same thing. I can't wait to see what shoes you select, too.

    I picked up an acetylene torch for the first time in my metal smithing class!! I'm totally excited. I know you understand the sheer joy of the creativity of it all. I'll have a few things to show in the next month. :-)

    Good god lady you are gorgeous. I love the "spring" feel to these outfits. So fresh! Here, I am huddled up in a sweater facing another grey day. Spring I guess doesn't linger here. I soak up your warm chic and California sun.
