This fabulous signature piece started out...
as a basic Target necklace that I added 14mm pearls to....
I then got out my trusty findings...
(most of these can be found at the major craft stores)
this time I just needed jump rings in various sizes
to attach all the lengths of chains and beads that I wanted to add...
pulled out my two flat nose pliers...
I needed these to 'open' the jump rings
so I could very easily attach the new the chains and beads to the Target necklace.
I began by adding a 'string ' of coral that I made. by wiring the 'beads' together.
then I added some vintage chain...
and then another Target necklace with pearls I added....
then some turquoise beads and a strand of pearls...
adding on some nautical pendant drops...
All of these were added by simply opening my jump rings...
and grabbing the original necklace...+what i wanted to add...
then simply closing the jump ring!
Here it is in completion...
my semi homemade signature piece...
having begun with a store bought necklace....
and embellishing and embellishing
and embellishing....
until I was in love with the scale and proportion and colors.
Wishing you love and joy
as you style your life
happy embellishing!
happy embellishing!
