DIY- layering and lengthening necklaces

I love working with my accessories in wardrobe stories and collections.
  Doing so ensures maximum looks.
My collection of silver chains this week have been transformed into this bold statement piece

from this jumble of chain...
and
it can easily be return to each original necklace.
 The key...

making sure
 each chain has a
double clasp...
this will enable you to add one chain easily to another...

and
 just as importantly...
removing it...
to wear it on it's own as well.

Adding double clasps
to your necklace is a simple process.

take the end of you necklace chain
open the jump ring with the two pliers
loop it onto the last chain link
and the lobster claw
close the jump ring using the two pliers

voila...
you now have
 a necklace
that can be linked onto any other chain necklace
exactly where you want it
and
then go back to it's original self

see how nicely the second necklace lies
with no added bulk on the neck

easily doubling the drama

same idea done with multiple chains

they all lie flat without the messy bulk in the back
making for a much more pleasant and attractive wearing.

This technique will enable you to also lengthen any necklace to a desired length
I add chain evenly to the back with any similar size chain
then add on the jump ring and clasps

Wishing you love and joy
as you style you life

thanks so for stopping by
