a walk...

I have allowed myself tremendous flexibility with this blog.
When I started blogging last May, it began as a path back...
...creatively...
a place to put the many pieces...
that made up my life in transition.
I struggle with wanting it to be this thing or that...
but mainly...right now it's a tiny little blog...
where I record and experiment.

Because right now
 I am still in transition
from full time mother...to my what's next...
but that really means my family is still first and foremost...
sometimes it just looks different to me than it did before..
but family is my first priority...even now.

Right now to me...
is the hardest part of parenting...
the letting go...the holding on of two teenagers
and as of this week ...now... one officially  young adult...
 For me it is painful...
every day...
it is  a learning challenge...
learning to let go of control...but still being steadfast in maintaining structure..
.realizing though I had perfect intent in parenting...
I was not perfect.
Now being completely invested in correcting course.

This weekend we had a huge family success...
we all went away for the weekend...
we all chose to be together...
it was truly... almost a year in the making...
to get back to that place...
and we did it..
and it was good...
 really... really... quietly, good.

Wishing you love and joy
as you savor your life

  5. I can't imagine how hard it will be to let go when they're older. Right now, I struggle with letting my 13 yo out of my sight.
    A lovely, lovely post Tamera.
