Date Night On the Water ...and A Harbor Cruise

I absolutely love being on the water.
I ocean kayak almost every week
and
I am always looking for  new ways to get out on the water.

For our Friday Night Date Night
one of my favorite ways is with a
out of Dana Point here in Southern California.

A ticket of $49 each gives you 90 minutes
cruising the harbor with wine tasting.
I prefer just buying a glass of wine
because I want to soak up every second taking in the harbor views!

My hair style of choice for harbor cruising at sunset
is always a turban.
It keeps my hair pretty much in place
while on the water
and
affords a finished look without battling wind blown hair.

I wanted a fun romantic look for the cruise
so I chose to wear my new white  wrap long vest
that I got from

I wore it over a straight navy maxi and a voluminous white skirt.
I paired them all with a Breton stripe
for a little nautical nod.

My tapestry cross body form
 bag kept my hands free
and a striped flat kept me steady  on my feet
the entire harbor cruise.

My favorite part of the cruise is always
the open ocean part.
There is always such a feeling of freedom on the open water!

If you are in the area and interested in the  Dana Point Wine Cruise
you can find all of the information HERE.

Our newest way to get on the water is
renting a
Duffy's are sweet little electric boats that fit up to 10 people.

We have been talking about renting one of these boats for years
and finally took the plunge.
It was so fun
I am already planning our next time out!

The boats are clean and well kept
with a staff that makes renting a breeze!
We packed simply for this cruise but
I can't wait to host a little party the next time out
and
bring all of my own decor!

I brought a bottle of Veuve in it's cooling case
to make sure it stayed cold.
But I realized you don't even have to do that
because the charming Duffy staff can bring you ice before you venture off!
And how cute are these inflatable ice buckets they have!

Besides champagne and a simple cheese and fruit platter
I brought my little Bose speaker
so we had our own music.

But lest you don't have one
these boats come with a plug
so you can play your own music on their speakers,

A good bottle of ice cold champagne
great music
cruising the harbor in a sweet little Duffy
made for a pretty great day!

And I once again donned my turban
for easy style!

Enjoyed my handsome 'boat captain'!

The Duffy rental we had was $199 for the two hours on a holiday weekend.
I do believe they run specials
so you might be able to get one for less depending on your needs.

If you think this sounds like fun
you can go HERE for more information.

As always my friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

  1. Boat rentals are great. We have done pontoons for a much more casual day on the lake but also a nice sail boat cruise. I'll have to step up my game for my next cruise. Enjoy!

  2. Oh, your white wrap long vest is stunning, Tamera, and I look forward to seeing it again, styled in your beautiful way. Renting a boat for a short cruise does sound fun (and stylish) - we have never done that! Love that inflatable ice bucket.. xxx

  3. You look fabulous as usual....I love your style. One fun thing we've done for our anniversary is to go on a gondola boat ride. The gondola is propelled by a gondolier, a Venetian boatman. So romantic; you can bring friends/family or go solo, as we did. Bring champagne and anything you want to munch on. On our anniversary it was so romantic gliding through the quiet waters in the harbor. Google locations closest to you.
