The Power Of Accessories … One Sweatshirt Styled 5 Ways

Hello my friends!
I am back this week with my second installment
in my weekly feature
The Power of Accessories
where I take one piece of clothing
and
style it multiple ways
to show case
the power and fun of styling with accessories!

Today I am styling around this
novelty sweatshirt
I found at Forever 21.

I was looking for a piece of clothing to freshen up
my base neutral wardrobe.

I knew this would be the perfect piece
to add some fresh flavor to my existing pieces
with the graphic design
which is made up of
hello and goodbye
in all different languages.

I also knew the hood would  make for lovely layering options.

My first pairing
uses the sweatshirt in a typical ensemble with
 knit pants
Birks
turban
and
sunnies.

A perfect look for morning walks on the beach.

Adding a fur collar
is the perfect way to
add some glam to the sweatshirt
I always love
a great juxtaposition!

Adding
a fringe skirt
pointy heels
and
 a pearl headband
is an easy and casual look
for sunset cocktails!

Adding a long skirt
is also a perfectly easy way
to get some SoCal beach glam
especially when pairing them
with my
Trina Turk mules.
A look that is perfect for some
casual alfresco dining by the beach.

Adding
 a wide legged crop pant
furry vest
turban
and
ankle booties
works great for almost anywhere
in our casual SoCal.

I think one of my favorite pairings
is with
a crisp blazer.
The sweatshirt really gives it a playful edge
and
might just be my pick to
this weekend
when I take the train down
to San Diego
to attend the Bridal show
with my wonderful daughter!

Nothing finishes an outfit
with fabulous glamour like
 wide brimmed hat!
This is always one accessory that does double duty
 here in SoCal
when you can get a dose of sun protection
with your Glam!

I hope I have you excited
about the fabulous and transformative
Power Of Accessories !

You can check out last weeks installment
where I styled an inexpensive Forever 21 jumpsuit

As always my friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

  5. I like the hoody most in the casual look and your sun glasses are so chic as the shoes you show in the second last pic. But as always...
    so creative.

  9. I love everyone of your outfits and am LOVING this series you are doing. I am especially excited because I had just bought the very same sweatshirt and worn it with black skinnies and heels...I received tons of compliments...I was then wondering how else to wear it...and viola...you showed me how! I also admit I have been feeling a little low...seeing my youth fade as my weight shifts and things don't fit like they use too...so discouraging. These last posts that you have done make me realize how self-absorbed I have become.....the more I live without worrying about superficial things the more joy I will have in my life which then radiates thru all the wrinkles! Perfect! :-) Thank you for inspiring me as always- Pam Atk

    Brava!
I am going to try the look with the blazer which is more my pared down style.
You remind me so much of my mom who is amazing at accessorizing like you!
Maybe one day you will meet... Who knows :)
