... how I wear my jeans ...

Today the lovely Adrienne from The Rich Life on a Budget ...
and
Jill from Everything Just So ...
are celebrating their two year anniversary
of their

How I Wear MY series ....

This month's topic is jeans.

which got me thinking about
how I wear my jeans.

Initially I was thinking...

"Oh I'm not really a jeans kinda gal ...
except maybe at home ...
or errands ...
but going back through my pictures ...

I realized that wasn't even true ...

I began to realize ...
just how often I do use jeans as
a building block to many of my outfits.

Looking back ...
I realized how my jeans are
a perfect and functional juxtaposition
to some of my more flamboyant pieces.

Balancing dramatic flair...
with true wearability.

When I am here in Southern California
my staple wardrobe usually consists of neutral shades of
creams and whites ...
which makes my
 white jeans
the work horse of my wardrobe...
summer or winter...

always a grounding force with my
statement pieces...
and ...

the perfect functioning piece
for so many occasions ...

and looks.

City or....

sand.

My white jeans are the perfect piece to pack
for weekend getaways...
because the truly do go with most everything I pack.

I knewI used my jeans regularly at home ...
and for local errands ...

But now after HIWM
I know just how much my jeans
are truly a major player in
my style of
Down to Earth Glamour

My one pair of JAG jeans ...
got me all across Europe last year ....
from the high streets of London...
to visiting my daughter in Italy ...
to the cafes of Paris ...
and walking the golf course in Saint Andrew's.

My jeans and my felt fedora
were comforting travel companions ...
and
were the cornerstone of all my  travel wardrobe styling.

So thank you Adrienne and Jill
for another fabulous series!
Participating always helps me refine my style...
either by making new choices out of my usual comfort zone ...
like last months neon ...
or
 this month ...
when it had me finding more
clarity in my own personal style of
down to earth glamour.

Please check out the HIWM series at
and

to see a wonderfully stylish gathering of participants...
and if you haven't joined yet...
I would urge you to next month when
it's all about the color red...

You never know what personal  style lessons
you can learn
by participating ...
Take it from me!

as always dear friend

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

  1. What a beautiful post. You really are a white jeans lover! I had a pair but they fit weird so I had to ditch them. You've inspired me to start looking for a new pair. I love your looks - all of them!

  3. Oh my goodness Tamera. You take jeans to another level. I keep scrolling back and trying to decide which is my favorite look but I can't decide.. I'm a blue jean and boots kinda gal but I love your white jeans. I especially love them with the vintage fur collar and also with navy and white..it's so fresh looking. And the photo of you in sunglasses with the big striped bag looks like it came out of a fashion magazine. But I think my favorite photo is the last one, it's so fun, and overflowing with your sense of style. Thanks for putting together all these wonderful looks, I will have to check out that fashion series..

  4. Not only do you make jeans look amazing, you've given us the most wonderful retrospective post ever!! I have one pair of white jeans that fit some of the time and when they do, I love them. Maybe I need to invest in another pair or two. :-) Congrats on your photo and link, too. XXOO You always look fabulous.

  6. Love, love, love this post. And to think you weren't a jean wearing kind of gal. It's amazing how we look at things in a whole different perseptive when given the opportunity.

  7. All of your fabulous outfits with white jeans are making me rethink my "no white jeans" policy.

Funny enough when you wear jeans I don't even see them as jeans anymore.

    You transform them.

They become sophisticated. Lifted out of their banal working class roots to the upper echelons of high society fashion.

    How do you do that?

    bisous
    Suzanne
