... hello Monday ... hello gratitude ...

Hello Monday... Hello gratitude!
Hello to discovering new sweet spots!
We found the cutest bakery in Crystal Cove last night.

Hello to finished bunting and banners ... and lights all hung
 and
waiting for this weeks festivities of ...
family birthday celebrations and neighborhood gatherings.

Hello to some crowning excitement in the studio.

Hello to my continual love affair with instagram...
using it has taught my eye and soul
to find beauty wherever I go...
and
just as importantly ....
connect with people all around the world.
If you haven't tried it yet...
I urge you to give it a try!

Speaking of IG...
The fabulous California lifestyle  designer...
Trina Turk...
actually has Me thinking....
I might just need some Birkenstocks....
after bemoaning them always...
I am pretty shocked at myself...
but seriously...
they have been updated into some attractive colors...
and
how manny times do trends come around with
comfort involved...
Don't be surprised when I work a white pair into
my SoCal  wardrobe...

Hello gratitude for some perfect Southern California weather...
My lemons are yellowing...
hydrangeas and lavender are in full bloom...
and crazy as it sounds as November arrives this week...
my tomatoes are full steam ahead ...
with even new blossoms...
Our warm fall has some lovely payoffs!

The weather has been perfect lately for my succulents...
that are finally taking off wonderfully.
I was surprised this summer when I actually lost a few in the extreme heat.

Hello to being grateful for time spent with my husband this weekend...
he has done such a great job of finding new happy hour spots...
Yesterday we made our weekend seem much longer by
going out for a late lunch at Del Sol in Newport Beach...

with a little window shopping in Crystal Cove...

and taking in a beautiful sunset in Corona Del Mar.

My soul is full of gratitude this week...
Slowing down... and simplifying this week...
has made making time for investing in beauty ...
a reality.

as always dear friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

  1. Wow. Trina Turk as a pen pal!!! So funny that you should say that you want a pair of Birkenstocks. I was just in the Birkenstock store yesterday contemplating a pair. Since I can only wear flats for the time being, why not? You would look awesome in white ones!

  7. I know that tile floor :) So glad they've kept it. Bravo Jeff, for local adventure planning. Looking forward to enjoying one of the most fun nights of the year, although it is likely not going to be a trik-or-treating marathon with your now grown "ghouls."

  9. Thank you once again, for reminding me what great things to be grateful for. I can't wait to see you in some birkenstocks. I'm just a little bit jealous of your lemons and hydrangeous (I just had our first snow fall).
