... I found the new shoes ...

I found the new shoes I was looking for...
I wrote about my search HERE...
where sometimes...
shopping for shoes is so much more...

I did end up slipping down the rabbit hole....
but just for a couple of weeks this time.

Finding my new shoes...
and
 investing in myself..
helped me  regain my footing...

 and
 once again...
put the pieces back together.

shoes-Poetic Licence London, shorts-Vince, blazer-Tory Burch, top-Michel Kors, turban-Tamera Beardsley, jewelry-JCrew, stole-vintage, bag-Juicy, sunglasses-Old Navy

As painful as the process of
 falling apart in hurt is...
there is much to be gained.

Having my heart broken...

always breaks me open...
to be a better human.

I have so much more empathy for the pain of others...

I can see clearly how very fragile we all can be...

that sometimes, no matter how we want things to turn out...
there is  little we can control...

 save maybe...
what we choose to wear...

and
how we show up to greet the new day.

My heart is full with gratitude
 for this
  most wonderful blogging community...

where
 we can share...
the good... and the bad...
the peaks and valleys...
that make up life's journey.

as always my  dear friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

    1. Thank you Christy for the compliment. I also make a point to be active... I go to the gym, mountain bike, practice yoga, surf occasionally .... but my favorite is hiking with friends... getting the best of both worlds at once!

Yes, the older I get... I realize life can often be hard...but the camaraderie along the way... makes all the difference. Thank you so much for your lovely visits here to my blog... they mean the world to me.

Your honesty empowers others to genuineness and reaching out to others in times of need. The shoes are fabulous! I think I have that same top-nothing like a little sparkle to brighten the day!

  10. Oh Tamera, I am so sorry to hear you have been hurting. And yet, you are such an inspiration of embracing the pain, being honest about it, learning and growing from it. I love the idea that we can control how we greet the day. I haven't been greeting it so well lately. Time to do that. // Also, I love the shoes. And the turban wearing! (I am hoping to see a plastic bag turban in one of these posts.) // much love, Anne

  13. Choosing how we show up to meet the new day - yes, I like that, there is much we can't control and might wish were otherwise, but that's one small self-affirming pleasure we can always take. And you take it so beautifully, and look stunning, Tamera. I hope you are OK. xxx

  19. Hi sweetie!! I thought of you as I glimpsed the ocean this past weekend. It's amazing how location inspires how we dress! All your elements here are very glamorous. I would happily borrow any of them!! I agree that it's important to create beauty through our personal style, in our dress and environment. We can control that, and in doing so can bring joy and a sense of luxury to many people through our creativity. Embrace the flow, have faith that all is in order, even if you can't see it or feel it. Continue to love fiercely, and shine. It's contagious and we thank you. XXOO

  29. Here are these incredible, unstoppable shoes, then there is this incredibly gorgeous woman of many faces! You completely overshadow your clothes, ALWAYS, and that's such a rare thing. You just shine right through, no matter how many layers you rock.
You never allow your clothes to wear you ... and you do that so naturally and elegantly.
    Amazing.
