.... at home wardrobe styling ....

Recently I have been putting more effort into my home wardrobe styling.
Working from home it is easy to disregard wardrobe style in a forever attempt to get more done.
But I have realized when I approach my creative projects and life with that mindset...
I not only get less done...
the enjoyment process is lessened as well.

So I have been working on some easy home style shortcuts...
where I still feel stylishly put together...
but my time is still efficiently used.

As much as I love fashion and style...
I am not one to invest much time ....
or at least I want to invest the very least amount of time possible ....
for the biggest results...
so...

My hair is down about once a month...after I get my greys covered and my stylist blows it out.
Other than that it is usually styled up...
or even more often just pulled up on the top of my head...
not really a very stylish solve to be sure...
it is haphazard at best.
So...

I have added knit turbans to my home style bascis....

I have found them to be a perfect at home solve.
(Having not been able to find any that I loved...
I made mine out of coton jersey).
With the ease of a stretch headband....
it slips on...
I am still able to pile my hair on top... or tuck it into the generous back
Either way the outcome is stylish and oh so quick...
making turbans the
perfect at home style solve.

When I go out all I have to do is
exchange the turban for a hat and sunglasses...
and I am out the door
in a flash
with  down to earth glamour.

as always dear friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

I would love to hear any quick at home style tricks
you want to share!

thanks so for stopping by!

  1. Tamera. You look beautiful. I must admit that I look like a hippie most of the time. My one way to look a little bit put together when I go out is to add a scarf or a shawl. Still bohemian but not so sloppy.

  4. Great pics and very elegant. I have my hair razor cut. All I do is wash it, apply some styling products and let it air dry. It falls into place without any fuss. That is my shortcut.

  9. Tamera, you always look so chic and stylish whether in a hat or turban, whether the hair is up or down. I don't have any great tips for you; I think you've got it covered! When I'm at home, the hair is usually up and the makeup is off. I'm wondering when I'll be brave enough to venture out with that look. Maybe never??

  11. Perfection as always, beautiful Tamera. I keep my hair short, it seems to be a bit more sassy (like me) and is perfect for these hot humid Florida days. I don a hat to keep from getting more "wisdom lines" and fight the bed head if I need to fly out early in the morning. Short hair works for me.However, I would often love to have some hair to pull up and style differently. Ahh, the grass is always greener.Have a fab week.... looking forward to hearing how to purchase those wonderful beaded creations of yours! xo B

  13. Tamera, you could look beautiful bald, but I love the turban wrap and your hats are always an inspiration. I'mi in the dreaded stage of growing out my bangs and hair a bit so headbands and hats and fun clips have been my lifesavor ( maybe best to say style savor)

  16. Gorgeous creature! I just look dowdy in a turban ... I think it takes a very delicate featured face and a youthful demeanor to wear one. Both of which you have, and you look adorable hair up, down, half-up, hatted, any-which-way!
Have a great week, no matter what you wear.

  17. I haven't had much luck with turbans but you inspire me to try again! Waaay back in the day I wore a lot of headwraps but now it's mostly hats. However, I've just ordered some human hair bangs, which will enable me to pull my hair back and up but still have some softness around my face. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they work the way I hope. They'll be a summer lifesaver if they do.

You look wonderfully chic in your turban. :-)
