....{ finding my way back }....

I have been home for over a week now....
and yet...
I don't yet feel settled.
Transitioning back has been harder than I thought....
and I'm not really sure why...

But a trip down to our favorite spot in Laguna...

at sunset...sure made things feel better....

I loved everything I saw and experienced on our trip...
I truly did.

But by leaving
I came back with such a renewed appreciation...
of where we live...

 and
 the life we have.

a November sunset never looked so beautiful to me.

Jeff and I played tourist in our own area...
and found a new to us stop in Laguna....
A prosciutto and mozzarella bar.

Afterwards we made our way to Newport and the holy grail of
Christmas decor....
Roger's Garden.

all the while on our search for this year's tree....
oh yes....
it is so very good to be home.

You know you really have missed Southern California...
when...

even our freeways seem to possess a beauty of their own.

as always dear friends

I wish you love and joy
as you style your life

  1. Oh Roger's. I love that place. I'll have to make a trip up there one of these days. So super festive this time of year. Thanks for reminding me....

  4. Loving all the appreciation and gratitude Tamera. Indeed, the road full of cars can be a delight. Consider all the meditating one can accomplish just sitting there, calmly, waiting for the cars to slowly roll by. :-)

  5. I love playing tourist in my home town, but I can understand after a trip like you had how it would be hard to transition back. You live in a lovely area!

  8. Travelling is wonderful and I would love to do it much more often, but there is always a sense of relief when one crawls between the sheets of their own bed.

  10. You have such a wonderful way of capturing beautiful pictures and describing things so clearly that I feel like I could almost be there. There truly is no place like home.

  15. love your last sentence about the freeways having their own beauty, so sweet and true!

Hey you know what? I adore Laguna too, I have been there several times, and it's always my favorite in the OC:)

Isn't it tough to transition after such a trip as that?! I empathize with you...
    sounds like it was divine!
