Malibu lunch..

This weekend found Jeff and I in Malibu....
where everywhere we turned we spotted vintage airstreams....
I'm still trying to figure out my infatuation with them...
even after owning one...

Everywhere  we looked in Malibu one fabulous view after another!

We had lunch down in
Paradise Cove....

then headed over to the Malibu Lumberyard...
the inspiration for our trip an hour north.

Our weekend outing was inspired by Tabitha of Bourbon and Pearls....
the ironic part...
she lives in Scotland and recently posted about her trip to the Lumberyard.
One of my favorite parts of blogging...
the sharing ideas and inspirations....

I've been to Malibu many a time...

how I missed the absolutely fabulous Lumberyard...
i don't know....
it was So worth the drive north!

  3. There is such beauty in California - almost as if you were gifted with more than a fair share of it! But there is beauty everywhere, and certainly in your photos today. And in your stunning monochromatic outfit. Love it all!

    1. Diane, this is not our Airstream...we left ours at home (we truly do have one ). I am just powerfully drawn to them...wherever i see them. Thanks for visiting from Virginia!

  5. You look gorgeous as always, and it looks like the weather was just perfect. Did you ever see that old movie with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, "The Long, Long Trailer"? I bet you'd have some giggles over parts of it - though the trailer's comforts could not match your beautiful Air Stream - their pulling that 40-ft trailer over the mountains is epic!

    1. Thank you my dear...the weather was truly perfect! I have seen the movie....having a fear of mountain roads myself...but it and some old Disney cartoons are probably the beginnings of my love affair with all things Airstream!

  6. I've never been to Malibu but I've always loved the sound of the word. And of course, when we played Barbies as kids we always fought over the Malibu Barbie. ;)
Lovin' that sequin tunic. I'd grab that one up if I saw it on a rack!

  7. Oh how funny, I came on to say "ooh Malibu, ooh airstream" and then spotted my name! It is my favourite place in the world, oh to be that handy and to be able to pop to lunch there. Ah, off to stare wistfully at your photographs!

    1. Even funnier, I clicked on the post because that's what I do on Visible Monday but also because of the airstream. And when I saw the airstream and Malibu, I thought of Tabitha...and then I see she is linked in the post. :) Despite all of this, Tamera, this is a beautiful post and your outfit, as always, is styled wonderfully.
