Friday found Jeff and I in Carlsbad
for the Queen Bee Market
to show my line...
and reconnect with each other....
transitioning back to more couple time....
after raising children for two decades....
Sunday
Jeff and I had a great time surfing....
just the two of us...
followed by a backyard barbeque....
and backyard lounging....
we both realized
the two of us have never just hung out in the back...just lying in the sun
on the grass...
It sounds so simple....
but with three kids....
and being very committed DIYers....
there has always been So much to get done....
we even had time this week for
a Disneyland date night....
before Wednesday's....
high school graduation....
Our oldest son is now of college age....
joining our daughter who this week moved on to be a college junior....
now
with only one more in high school....
makes this time of transitions....
all the more real...
and
the feelings all so bitter sweet....
calling for many solo hikes...
to sort and contemplate....
to be grateful for what has been....
and to move into position...
to see our future...
and be glad...
and ever so grateful.
wishing you love and joy
as you style your life.
thanks so for stopping by
Hi Tamera! Just stopping by from Life Rearranged. I love your beachy photos! Times of transition are so bittersweet. Enjoy the time with your hubby - sounds romantic! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tamera, this is such a great post you did-
ReplyDeleteTransitioning can be difficult - but after adapting to grown up gone kids - i found myself doing all kind of things and discovering talents i did not i had - and plus i am lucky enough to share a passion for fashion with my soon to be married daughter -
You seem to have a very loving relationship with your husband that is the best i think -

ReplyDeleteI think I cried at unexpected times for about a year and a half after my youngest left home. It does get easier. Congrats on all the achievements. Life is meant to be lived, right? You are living yours beautifully, it would appear, with much love and generosity.
