my week in photos....

Summer is around the corner here,
two weeks to a high school graduation...
Ellis's return from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo
and my youngest getting his drivers license....

It seems to be moving so fast....
I think it's because I have been so focused on  business and deadlines....
I feel like I looked up....and it is summer...
and new transitions.

We celebrated Hunter's 16th by going out to dinner with the entire family
and Hunter's very beautiful and successful girlfriend.... ( I could go on and on about her),

All three of my children have found absolutely wonderful relationships....
I feel very blessed....
to know your children are well loved....is priceless...

 In between business...
I have happily pulled out my summer decor....
doing so sure helps remind me of appreciating the moments in the seasons...
to slow down and be....

arranging vignettes gives me a chance to live in beauty
all during my day....
which makes my heart happy...

There has been much morning contemplation by me this week....
I so want my new company to stand for something....
to have more meaning than just selling fashion pieces...
I want the company and the products to be of substance...
to add to the world in a loving manner....

This week I finally perfected and refined some of my designs...
this Howlite cross on beads from Kenya
is my favorite right now....
I don't think the photos do it justice....

For me the beauty is also in the weight of the piece,
it feels substantial but not too heavy...
it feels strong and trustworthy...
Howlite is said to reduce stress and anxiety....
whether you believe in the concept of different elements possessing different energies....
holding this piece does illicit a calming energy in me.

This weeks outfit was inspired by my new vintage pearl assemblage  piece
I hooked several flea market pieces together...
looped in some cotton ribbons.... and clipped on a vintage brooch.

giving some inexpensive flea market finds a new updated life.
There is a truth in life in making something beautiful from what we already possess.

thanks so for visiting

wishing you love and joy
as you style your life
