living room center pieces through the seasons...

I love to change out my public areas seasonally
my living and dining rooms as well as my outdoor seating areas.
Doing this keeps my small house and garden feeling fresh
and
I can celebrate each new season.
So each seasonal change brings a new living room centerpiece for our hand made table.
In January I am so happy
 for scaled back design...
Pure...Simple.
an open table with
candles, one succulent, black tiny pebbles
all set on a soapstone.

 Christmas time
I carry my reds through
with a wool felt runner
and a simple wooden candle holder...
(which I actually left off most of the time
there was so much going on in the room
I decided I enjoyed it more with only the runner).

 For fall
An extra large wooden tray
filled with candles
and the apples we picked on our
apple picking adventure at Riley's farm.

 In summer
it's about blue and white
I folded a cotton rug in half
added my soapstone, a piece of aged pinon pine, sand
and our Airstream model...
a gifted to us when we bought the life size model.

In the spring I'm all about flowers
the more the merrier!
Here I used my large tray again,
added my mercury candle holders,
topped these recycled jam jars filled with fresh flowers.
I then poured in some long grain rice to finish the look with some texture.

I'm so happy spring will be here before I know it!

Wishing you love and joy
as you style your life

(come back next week for my seasonal mantles)

thanks so for stopping by
