One of my favorite decorating activities is
setting up
vignettes that are both
beautiful and useful.
Organizing functional Christmas pieces
to be pulled out with ease.
Our new enlarged table has been festively covered with a
vintage Mexican serape...
Next up
was the 'buffet'
stocked with the Christmas dishes
that survived my editing
leaving simply
the dishes I love and use.
and next
the fun part
fluffing the vignettes...
mixing in memorable childhood pieces...
with the useful...
Yesterday,
for the first time I was smitten with
red carnations....
this year they spoke
fresh, rustic and bold
to me.
so out came the floral foam and and an expresso cup....
and in minutes
a new Christmas arrangement...
one that I know will last weeks...
for very little expense.
and onto the shelf it was moved...
A great aspect of buffet vignettes
is they move so easily
to garnish
impromptu coffee with great friends...
Having everything on the ready
makes entertaining a breeze...
Wishing you love and joy
as you style your life
thanks so for stopping by
