what I wore Wednesday....Thanksgiving prep...

I realize my favorite thing about What I Wore Wednesday is
not really what I wore...
but getting ready for
what I will wear.
taking a moment at least once a week to think about the occasions upcoming
and pulling together an outfit...
before the fact...

This served me so well getting ready for Napa...
which made packing for the Queen Bee Market a done deal...thank you so much Lindsey  (who by the way is even prettier and sweeter in person...she was one of the highlights of the show!).

This week is all about Thanksgiving preparation...
my table is set
because I love that creative aspect...

as long as it's done ahead of time....

For me, it's the same with picking an outfit for an occasion....
I  enjoy it, ahead of time...
not the last minute scramble...

one of the gifts of my age...
I have hosted many Thanksgivings over the years...
and have learned not to leave deciding on an outfit to the last....

With so much going on and to do...,
many times what I was wearing
 was just an after thought
to a weeks worth of Thanksgiving prep....
and yes...
it very much affected how I felt about the occasion...
and not in a good way....

 So now, a little older....
a little wiser....
I know to pick an outfit I am
happy and comfortable with
and
speaks to the occasion....
ahead of time
feeling good about myself
gives me so much more time
to love on and celebrate my family....
certainly
a worthy investment.

Wishing you love and joy
as you style your life

and

Wishing you and yours
a most loving and thankful....

Thanksgiving.
